William E. Burdan, age 78, of Cedar Lake passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018. He is survived by his son, Scott (Gretchen); grandsons, Shawn, Mason, Brett and Trace; sister, Donna Lee; and brother, Rick (Marci). Preceded in death by his loving wife, Corinne and brother, Bob.
Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday, November 13, 2018 from 3 to 8 pm at Burdan Funeral Home 12901 Wicker Ave (corner of Rt 41 & 129th Ave) Cedar Lake. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, November 14, 2018 Directly at Holy Name Catholic Church at 12:00 pm with Fr. Mike Surufka O.F.M. officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Name Cemetery.
Bill was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was retired from US Steel and was owner of Burdan Funeral Home for 40 years. He enjoyed flying model airplanes, fishing in his boat the "Fishin Mortician" and smoking in the flower room. PaPa loved nothing more than his family and doted on his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by his loving family and many friends.
