Thomas J. Foreman, born November 24, 1951 and a lifelong resident of Cedar Lake, Indiana, went to his final resting place on December 10, 2017. Tom was a Naval Veteran and member of the American Legion Post 261 in Cedar Lake. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda L. Foreman (nee Dewitt); parents Delmer C. and Louise V. Foreman (Kadisak); father and mother-in-law, Richard and Mickey Dewitt. He is survived by his step son, Dean McNeary, and fourteen loving siblings: brothers Arthur (Barbara), John (Audra); and sisters Laura Heiny (Bob), Susan Condron (Bill), Renee Williams, Marsha Harrell (Gary), Paula Koontz (Mike), Christina Jackson (Don), Deborah Hodnett (Bill), Sharon Foreman (Dave Pals), Phyllis Hays (Jim), Jacquelyn Kubiak, Virginia Fleming (Ray), and Lisa Adelman (Skyler). Tom is also survived by Aunt Betty Foreman, Barbara Hoeckelberg, and Ellen Ploetz, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Tom was a 1970 Hanover Central High School graduate and like his father, joined the United States Navy where he served during the Vietnam War on the USS-Saratoga. Tom later became co-owner of Gruel Brothers, Inc. in Crown Point where he worked with his father.

In 1990 Tom married Linda, the love of his life, and they enjoyed vacationing with their many friends.

Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Burdan Funeral Home, 12901 Wicker Avenue, Cedar Lake, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, December 15, 2017 at 11:00 am Directly at Holy Name Catholic Church 11000 W. 133rd Avenue, Cedar Lake, IN. Burial will follow at Holy Name Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cedar Lake American Legion Post 261 or Project Love Food Pantry, Cedar Lake.
