It is with great sadness that the family of Robbie Gene Keaton announces his sudden passing on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the age of 53. Robbie will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 26 years, Laura; his children, Daniel Keaton and Brandon (Jacquelyn) Keaton; his brother, Randy (Trinette) Keaton; sister, Dianne Crites; his mother-in-law, Luanne Horvath; sisters-in-law, Wendy Roberts, Cindy (Lee) Milazzo, Nicole Horvath; and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Linvel and Virginia Keaton; and brothers, Ricky Keaton, Jimmy Roberts, and Billy Keaton.

Friends may meet with the family on Friday, February 23, 2018 from 5 to 8 pm at Burdan Funeral Home 12901 Wicker Ave, Cedar Lake. A eulogy will be held at 7:30 pm.

Rob was born May 28, 1964 to Linvel and Virginia Keaton. Rob was a professional truck driver who loved his job. He drove safely for 25 years and worked for Fed Ex Freight. He enjoyed watching the Chicago Bears (well, sometimes), was a true Cubs fan, and was ecstatic when they won the world series. Rob was an amazing cook and loved to cook for everyone. He loved taking his great niece, River, to McDonalds for breakfast, working on his home, the History Channel, camping, dogs, and chocolate, OH man did he love chocolate! But ABOVE ANYTHING ELSE, Rob loved to spend his time at home with his family and he will be missed immensely by us all. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Humane Society Hobart Inc. will be greatly appreciated.
