Phillip R. Allan, age 65, of Cedar Lake passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 30, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Roberta; children, Lindsey (Eric) Hoover and Jonathan Allan; siblings, David (Nancy) Allan and Barbara Hartoonian; sisters-in-law, Mary Joan (Gordon) Dickson and LaVerna (Robert) Magnant; brothers-in-law, William (Anita) Torrence and Michael (Kim) Torrence; goddaughter, Audrey Torrence; numerous nieces and nephews and his special bond with nephew Brian South.
Friends may meet with the family on Monday, April 3, 2017 from 2 to 8 pm at Burdan Funeral Home 12901 Wicker Ave (corner of Rt 41 & 129th Ave)Cedar Lake, IN. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 10:00 am at Holy Name Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Holy Name Cemetery.
Phil served in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed at Avery Dennison for over 20 years and was most recently employed at Lear Corporation. He was an active member of Holy Name Catholic Church and a member of the Cedar Lake Knights of Columbus and the Cedar Lake American Legion Post 261.
