Patriotic Emblem

Maynard W. Pemberton, age 80, of Cedar Lake passed suddenly on Saturday, September 16, 2017. He is survived by his son, Wayne Pemberton (Alison McCollum); 3 grandchildren, Wesley K. Pemberton, Rachel Kellie, and Brian Pemberton; 3 great-grandchildren, Emerson, Alex, and Ben Kellie; daughter-in-law, Deanna Pemberton; sister, Sharon Damouth; and brother, Joe Damouth (Sandy). Preceded in death by his wife, Sherlene; and son, Wesley J. Pemberton.
Friends may meet with the family on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 3 to 8 pm at Burdan Funeral Home 12901 Wicker Ave (corner of Rt 41 & 129th Ave) Cedar Lake. A service will be held at 7:30 pm.
Maynard was a retired pipe-fitter / welder. He was a Veteran of the National Guard, a long-time member of the Cedar Lake Eagles 2529, and 4 time past Commander of the Cedar Lake American Legion Post 261. Maynard was a long-time youth baseball coach and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers donations to the Cedar Lake American Legion or the Cedar Lake Eagles will be greatly appreciated.
