Mary Lou Deno, age 84, of Cedar Lake passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017. She is survived by her loving husband, of 66 years, Richard; children, Joseph (Janice) Deno, Katherine (Ronald) Mager, Connie (Jim) Plukas, Gregory (Theresa) Deno, and Richard (Judy) Deno; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, 2 sisters, and 1 granddaughter.
Friends may meet with the family on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 3 to 8 pm at Burdan Funeral Home 12901 Wicker Ave, Cedar Lake. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, December 9, 2017 at 11:00 am at Holy Name Catholic Church with Fr. Michael Surufka, O.F.M. officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Name Cemetery.
Mary Lou was a 50 year member of the PI-EPSILON KAPPA, ALPHA OMEGA CHAPTER. She worked as a bank teller in Cedar Lake and as a receptionist for Dr. Misch. Mary Lou loved sports, but nothing as much as her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
