Julie M. Tortorici, age 58, of Cedar Lake passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017. She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Tortorici; sister, Jeannine (Jose) Uribe; nephews, Carlos and Ricardo Uribe; and niece, Isabel Uribe. Preceded in death by her father, Sam; and brother, Kenny.
Friends may meet with the family on Friday, July 21, 2017 from 4 to 8 pm at Burdan Funeral Home 12901 Wicker Ave (corner of Rt 41 & 129th Ave) Cedar Lake. A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 12:00 pm at Burdan Funeral Home with Fr. Ed Tlucek, O.F.M. officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Name Cemetery.
Julie worked for the Lake County Public Library for 30 years. She loved her family and being with friends. She enjoyed traveling, cooking, and party planning. Julie will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
