Prayer Emblem

Joyce Waldden, age 60, of Schererville, formerly of Sauk Village, passed away April 11, 2018. She is survived by her children, Naomi Boehm, Daniel Buckley, and Eadie Walden; grandchildren Danielle, Jessica, Abby, Dustin, Matthew, Sally and Noah; siblings Don (Cathy) Taylor, Drenda (Whitey) Buddenberg, and Linda (Fred) Rohry. Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Walden.

Friends may greet the family on Saturday, April 14, 2018 from 2 pm to 7 pm at BURDAN FUNERAL HOME, 12901 Wicker Ave. (corner of US 41 and 129th Ave,) Cedar Lake. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, April 15, 2018 at 2 pm DIRECTLY at Dyer United Methodist Church, 2016 Church Street, Dyer, Pastor Jim Clark, officiating.

Joyce was an optician with LTF for over 20 years. She was an active member of Dyer United Methodist Church where she helped with the food pantry and youth fellowship. She was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and friend who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
