Joan Loretto Tesky, age 66, of Kentland, IN formerly of Chicago, IL passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017. She is survived by her husband, Wilford Tesky; sons, Joe and David Tesky; step-children, Dorothy Rahmoeller, Carol Henke, Douglas, Raymond, Paul, and Kenny Tesky; grandchildren, Alex and Mikala Tesky, Jesse Calvillo and Brayden Tesky, Glenn Stromatt, Scott and Richard Knip, Shawna Guip, Sharlee and Shay Haas, Jason, Jeremiah, and Jon-luc Tesky, William, Samuel, Gabriel, and Cricket Tesky, Sydney Tesky, Krystal Golisano, Dustin and Davon Tesky, Felix and Albert Stanker, and Mary Ann Steel. Preceded in death by her step-daughter, Beverly Stanker; and grandchilren, Bob Stromatt and Phillip Tesky.
Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 from 3 to 8 pm at Burdan Funeral Home 12901 Wicker Ave (corner of Rt 41 & 129th Ave) Cedar Lake, IN. A service will be held at 7:30 pm.
Joan aka "The Night Wrighter" has written her final chapter. Joan was a journalist for the Newton County Enterprise and a scout leader for many years. She was very active in her community and the Extension Home Makers Club. Joan will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
