James K. Benson, Jr. age 46 of Lowell passed away Friday, August 16, 2019. He is survived by his loving wife, Misty; children, Zack, Cody, Faith, and Will; mother, Rose Benson; siblings, Ryan (Cora) Benson and Missy Haage; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his father, James Benson, Sr.; and brother-in-law, Josh Haage.

Friends may meet with the family on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 from 3 to 8 pm at Burdan Funeral Home 12901 Wicker Ave, Cedar Lake. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, August 21, 2019 at 10:00 am at Burdan Funeral Home. Burial will follow at German Methodist Cemetery, Cedar Lake.

James worked as a union carpenter with Local 13. He was a selfless, dedicated family man, very kind and loving and a wonderful father and uncle. James was a helpful person that was hard-working and easy going who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
