Jack E. Hollar, age 82, of Cedar Lake passed away Monday, February 20, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife, Mylene; children, Jill (Rich) Stanek, Jay (Corinne) Hollar, and Chris Hollar; 9 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Collins and brother, Jim Hollar. Preceded in death by his daughter-in-law, Becky Hollar.
Friends may meet with the family on Friday, February 24, 2017, from 3 to 8 pm at Burdan Funeral Home, 12901 Wicker Ave (corner of Rt 41 & 129th Ave), Cedar Lake. A service will be held at 7:00 pm with Pastor Greg Lee officiating.
Jack was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was an avid woodworker, golfer, photographer, and private pilot. Jack enjoyed hunting, fishing, travel, and camping. He loved playing guitar and was a life-long Cubs fan. Jack will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Suncrest Christian Church Building Fund.
