Evelyn (Mimi) Stines, age 92, passed away peacefully at her home in Cedar Lake, IN on February 15, 2018. She is going to her heavenly home to be with her husband of 72 years, Albert (a.k.a. Clark) who preceded her in 2015. They have three children; Nancy (James) Mucha, Tommy (Marylou) Stines, and Mary Brennan; grandchildren, Anthony Sain, Heidi Brennan, Jennifer (David) White, Julie (James) Moskalick, and Angela Gordeau.
There are ten great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Elizabeth Beiderstadt and Ann Triber. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and Joseph Lipcovich; and sister, Irene Eades.
Evelyn was devoted to her Lord, reading the bible to her husband every night for eight years as he lay in bed with a stroke. She has been missing him so much, she just had to go be with him. She will be dearly missed by old and new friends and her devoted family.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Burdan Funeral Home 12901 Wicker Ave (corner of Rt 41 & 129th Ave) Cedar Lake. A service will be held at 12:30 pm.
In lieu of flowers donations is Evelyn's name to Harbor Lights Hospice, 1229 Arrowhead Court, Crown Point, IN 46307 will be greatly appreciated.
