Doris A. Marine, age 72, died peacefully surrounded by her kids and family. She is preceded in death by her husband, David D. Marine and her beloved cat "little bit". She is survived by her children; Patty Hardesty of Lowell; Rob (Nancy) Hardesty of Lansing; Shari (Bert) Kralek of Cedar Lake; Debra (Doug, her BFF) Kralek of Cedar Lake; Crissy (Joe) Alliss of Crown Point; Grandchildren, John (Gina) Hardesty, James (Marki) Jared, Josh Jared, Brittany (Mike Topp) Hardesty, Felicia (Tyler) Dulin, Tiffany (Joey) Scott, Cheyenne Kralek, Ryan and Cameron Alliss; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Jayce, Maliyah, Jaikeb, Kyler, Paityn, Emmalynn, Karsyn, Eloise, Dallas, Annabel & one coming in September; her brother, Kenny & Janie Hatfield, TN. Also survived by her special niece Sunday Detamore and nephew Thomas Quinn of Morocco and also numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by (first husband) Dennis Hardesty; and her grandson, Douglas Kralek Jr.; sister, Ruby Marine; brothers, Larry and Gary Hatfield.
Friends may meet with the family on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 2 to 7 pm at Burdan Funeral Home 12901 Wicker Ave, Cedar Lake. There will be an Eagles Auxiliary service held at 6:45 pm.
She enjoyed her bunco group, Miller Lite and her friends at Cedar Lake Eagles as well as a special crazy neighbor, Tosh Krupa. She loved watching her grandkids playing at "nana's park". Special thanks to IU Methodist Hospital in Indy and Calumet Hospice for their support during this difficult time. Doris will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
