Audrey A. Kennedy, age 91, of Cedar Lake, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017. She is survived by her children, Doug Kennedy and DeeAnne Shaughnessy; daughter-in-law Jayme Kennedy; 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; 3 step-grandchildren; 10 step great-grandchildren; 7 step great-great grandchildren; sister Darlene Walsh; brother Donald (Carol) Trump; half-sister Donna Graves; and sister-in-law Hazel Pierce. Audrey was preceded in death by her husband, Archie, and sons Dallas and Daryl Kennedy.

Friends may greet the family on Sunday, April 2, 2017, from 11:30 am until 1:30 pm at Burdan Funeral Home, 12901 Wicker Ave. (corner of US 41 and 129th Ave.) Cedar Lake. A memorial service will be held Sunday at 1:30 pm at Burdan Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Ken Puent, officiating.

Audrey was a graduate of Hammond Tech. She traveled with the WLS Barn Dance. Audrey was active in scouting, PTA, and Cedar Lake Keenagers. She taught remedial reading and accordion prior to ending her career pursuits in real estate. Audrey was thrilled to see the Cubs win a World Series in her lifetime. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Lake Dale Fire Department Auxiliary.
